Being an avid FPS gamer the HTKU clan had the opportunity to test their skills in a real battlefield. Yes fellow tortolians. There is a place where you can shoot at someone and not go to jail. The name of the establishment is called Minute-Man Paintball.
Trust me this is very legit. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism. The owner gave us the ins and outs about the guns used and also the way to act on the field. So you don’t run in and just start popping shots in man. There are rules. Don’t worry the rules don’t stop the fun. Actually the fun is beyond EPIC. I had so much fun that I couldn’t contain myself.
The adrenaline kicked in as soon as the bullets started to whiz by my head. Now I know what you want to know. Who was the MVP of the matches. To be honest there was three HTKU members that stood out. Eyezz, Blake and Allen. Eyezz was the point man. He had prior experience and was familiar with the terrain. That gave him a fair advantage. Then Blake aka the International Badman did what he do best. Call out positions and flank like crazy. Then we have Allen aka Ears. From what I understand he climb up mango tree and ting. Start shooting man from above. Talk bout real bush man. There was other people that was there that joined in on the fun.
We played two type of games. Classic Elimination and Escort the president. We all know what elimination is all about. Once you are hit you are dead. No respawn. Escort the president is a little more interesting. Each team pick a president and the objective is to get the president on the opposing teams side. While they are doing the same. The twist to it is that no one knows who the president is. So if you shoot their president then it is game over. Only the host of Minute-Man Paintball know who the president is on both teams. We enjoyed that game very much. Was very intense.
There will be tournaments being called soon from the guys at Minute-Man Paintball. Rest assured HTKU will be there to represent. This was the most fun I had in a long time. Chilling with the Clan and doing what I love. I hope other clans in the BVI aren’t to scared to challenge us. We already got one from the facebook page who want to feel the wrath of HTKU. Most likely they will camp. But no worries we got camp killers. Right Timothy!
Coming to the last match there was a showdown. HTKU 5 against the three brave souls. It was a great battle. They chose to camp out and wait for us to come. Some of the clan took the 2 out. But in the process also got hit. Then it was just 2 remain.
It was me against wayne. We both was running low on bullets. He even had someone who was out throw him a refill. I looked at my bullets and realized I was running low. I had to make a decision. I remembered my training with Battlefield. Although wayne was shaking bush in the hope I would run in that direction I didn’t bother with that. I knew coming at him would cause him to react. I shot in his area of hiding in hope he would take cover. Then as he began to move I pursued. It was the moment of truth. With his back against the ground he started to shoot at me. I felt the first two paint balls pass me by. Then he seem to have a moment of weakness. The safety he claimed was pushed. That instant I got him with two shots. Claiming Victory for HTKU. It was an intense moment. The rush alone is worth the $25. $35 for some who got the Assault Rifle. With a $5 refill the games was reasonable and affordable. I recommend this to any FPS gamer or anyone with an itchy trigger finger. Those in the states I think you should go outside and give it a try.
