This is what I am talking about! Nothing is better than the Cybermen. I would of loved the Daleks but they will do. So lets dig in!
We have the Doctor and the ever so happy Clara. Since the last episode we saw how the kids wanted to black mail Clara by exposing her to their parents. Well whatever the case we have them going to an abandoned amusement park. Place looks like crap. We have the Doctor and his golden ticket. Yep a golden ticket. So this is where things get interesting. The spooky dirty guy showed the Doctor the Cyberman and the Doctor instinctively ducked and hide. I mean they are one of his worst enemies. Don;t worry false alarm… Just an empty shell. Or so we think. Anyway the spooky man challenges them to a game of chess. Now the Cyberman moved on its own and the Spooky man asked if they could figure out how it is moving they would get a silver empire coin.

The Doctor found a man named Porridge. A very short man. To be honest his acting was pretty cool. Don’t know much about him as an actor but it was quite fun. So as the episode progressed these little bugs that glow blue was all over the place. Which caught the attention of the Doctor. So you can imagine his curiosity peaked when given the chance to investigate.

Just like that he was gone with the child. Doctor goes into beast mode. Ancient threat is back. The Doctor took assessment of the situation and realized that the platoon wasn’t combat ready. Made Clara in charge and to be honest she being bossy already fit the part quite well. So we have a Cyberman running loose and we all know Cybermen are like cockroaches. There is never one. So the Doctor found one of the bugs and did his screwdriver thing.

Here we find that the Cybermen been very busy. Just been plotting and waiting for a brain that can support their peer to peer network. I think the Cybermen used Limewire a little to much and caught a virus. Making them evil. So the spooky man converted to a make shift Cyberman analysed the Doctor’s brain and wanted it. Now we know the Cybermen only used humans as spare parts. Well the word upgrade will be used a lot in this episode. They upgraded to use anything as spare parts now. So they jumpedon the Doctor and this is when things got Harvey Two faced on us!

So we have the stand off in his mind. The Cybermen trying to take over his mind and while in there they are peaking into his thoughts. Showing all the regenerations he had and his personal thoughts about Clara. So like in great Doctor Who fashion he uses his greatest weapon of all. His mouth. This man can talk his way out of anything.

I began to feel crazy just watching the Doctor go back and forth all the time. Then when you think it couldn’t get any weirder one of the many weaknesses of the Cybermen was introduced.

The Doctor gained control and gathered their defences. The big battle was fast approaching and Clara was doing her best getting the troops ready. With the imploding bomb out of commission things was looking grim for Team Doctor.

Once again this is a classic Doctor Who moment. against all odds the Doctor work his best under pressure. Some would be crippled with fear seeing this kind of enemy. I would just curl up in a corner sucking my thumb rocking back and forth whispering “mommy”. Well not the Doctor he saw an opportunity and decided to roll with it. One of the greatest tools the Doctor has is once again his mouth and the ability to bluff. OMG this man can fool anyone. The Cyberman decided to use the resources of all the millions of Cybermen outside that was about to “upgrade” Clara and the platoon to figure out how the Doctor was gonna beat him in three moves. I mean the Cyberman seriously thought the Doctor could of beat him in three moves. I mean he did but not in the game. The Doctor was just buying time. He was free of the Cyberman control and was presented with another problem. The Cybermen would reboot and just kill everyone there unless they could of activated the bomb.
SPOILER ALERT!!!

Just like that the little girl travelling with the Doctor realized something no one else saw. That Porridge was the emperor. So just like that he went Star Trek on dem tank and had a female Scotty beamed them up on his pimped out space ship. Before he left he activated the bomb and tossed up deuces! Like a boss. Of course after stunting on dem man he did the only natural thing any king would do. Ask the sexiest woman on the ship for her hand in marriage. Clara was the one he had his eyes on. She declined but the little girl was like “I would of said yes girlfriend.”
I enjoyed this episode. Had action and one of my favorite enemies. Sometimes a little bit of nostalgia is good for Doctor Who. I am still waiting to see some new revelation of Clara. Still want to see how she ties in to everything. I know right now that things need to start to pick up. I would like to see how the impossible girl is made possible. So till next Saturday which should be an epic episode. The previews showed me a word. River Song. Once I saw that I know the next episode shall be interesting. So till then stay frosty!
