Was just chilling today looking at this PC I am gonna build and what do I see in my gmail account. Rift the popular MMO is going F2P. Now I use to be a WoW addict and couldn’t get my college work done and almost lost my wife to it. So thinking about picking up an MMO again is not in the best interest of my personal life. Might start to neglect people. Become anti social. Hate sunlight. Drinking large quantities of Red Bull. Ahhh good times.
So anyway all jokes aside I never had a chance to play this MMO and I think by watching the sales and the amount of players I can say this is a healthy MMO game. I remember when I was playing DC Universe before they became Free 2 Play. Was quite fun for a while. Then things got boring fast when friends started to go outside and had a life…. I mean who needs a life when you can become a lvl 30 in only 2 days. Then get that epic gear from raids. I guess only the dedicated understand. Here is the official word from the email:
