Naruto You Lack Darkness Shippuuden 357 Review

Welcome back my fellow Naruto Fans! Just when I thought the fluff recap was over they gave me more. But no need to fear… After the break we got a new intro. With tons of spoilers. It was packed full of things to come! So lets dig in.

As you can see this intro is basically telling us epic things are about to come. I don’t know about you but if the intro got me this hype I can only imagine when I see this thing in all of its animated glory!

Enough about the intro. Lets get back to this fluff/back story episode. This episode was all about the darkness. The way of life for the ANBU isn’t an easy path. Only the dark twisted souls can carry out their orders. Also in this episode the baddest ninja to grace the Narutoverse is introduced. Yes I have an epic man crush. I speak of none other than Itachi.

Interesting enough we will finally see how Itachi became so calculated and cold. To understand why he chose the path that led is younger brother Sasuke into such despair. I mean we have a general idea but through the eyes of Kakashi.

We begin this episode with Kakashi and his new found partner Tenzo aka Yamato killing rival ninjas and stuff. After a hard day at work they discuss about filling the position for a new team member. Kakshi doesn’t seem to be in a hurry for a new team member but he had someone in mind all along. The young prodigy himself Itachi.

Now before Itachi made his appearance we have the Might Guy shooting the breeze with his friends. Once again trying to get Kakashi to hang out with him got turned down. Realizing that the ANBU lifestyle is preventing him from hanging out with his rival he made a decision to either get him out of the ANBU or join the ANBU. Trust me it was pure comedy!

Ting had me rolling lol. So anyway Itachi joined the ANBU and began hearing the rumors of Kakashi. You know how man is. Dem does start talking bout man and ting. Like woman start gossiping. Saying how Kakashi kills even his comrades for the mission. Which led Itachi to ask how he got the Sharigan eye. In that conversation Itachi made a point that hit home. How is it he is comfortable with having a power that did not belong to him. Kakashi never thought about it in that light.

So as the episode went along there was a mission. During this mission many things was pointed out. That Guy is not stupid. He can pull information that isn’t given to him by drawing vague conclusions. Itachi noticed this very quickly. Which lead me to the understanding of why Itachi said one time that no one should underestimate Guy. Don’t talk bout when release the gates.

Just when you think all is done the ANBU team had to carry out their orders. Kill all of the opposing ninjas. Even though Guy had knocked  out a few Itachi continued to kill them. With no remorse. Which made Guy very un easy. That is when Kakashi had to put him in check. Guy had his orders. The ANBU had theirs. That is when Guy realized that he really didn’t have the darkness. I won’t lie it was pretty cold how dem man was just walking around stabbing man on the ground. Kakashi didn’t even blink killing that chick with the chidori. That is when you know ya got the darkness.

So as the episode comes to a close you can see how Kakashi suddenly realized how dark he have become. You can see in his eye that he will soon stop being an ANBU. Although we also see how Itachi is working with Danzo to be a spy. Then again being a spy for his clan the Uchiha. Itachi had it rough.

This episode was chalked full of good things. The route Naruto is going I can see only good things to come. I am both excited and thrilled to see the epic fights.
