Batman Arkham Knight Impressions (PS4)

As you can see I was waiting for this game to be released. From the first time I saw this at E3 I knew this was it. Boy Rocksteady totally delivered.

The graphics on the PS4 version was gorgeous. Everything is in game. While the cinematics are playing I am walking around. Even from the beginning scene with Joker I was just watching the screen thinking what will happen. Not knowing I had to continue by pressing X. Was just in awe of the detail.

The meat and potatoes of the game. Action. Stealth. Missions. They gave me the freaking Bat mobile to drive. And don’t think that it is just for driving. Fighting is back but a bit more simplified. If you ask me it is better. Countering also flows much better. It isn’t as jerky like in Arkham City. As you know the grapple is back to save you from being spotted. LoL. Grapple with the glide is back to get you on top of buildings and basically get around Gotham City much easier. As for the side missions there is tons. I can easily say that this game will keep you busy with the vast amount things to do and accomplish. Between random fights breaking out on the streets and the Riddler placing a few of his own traps we got our hands full. I also like the way they set up the tutorials. It isn’t tacked on aggressively. Getting a new suit or gadget allows you to lvl it up by practicing using the nicely put VR missions. So literally helping you be a better Batman while getting precious exp points.

The story just made this fanboy just wet himself. If you follow the detective comics you would recognize this story. Yep scarecrow going HAM on Gotham with his toxin. Not only that it also seem that they are concluding this story with the death of Batman. Which if you ask me I need to see how that will play out. Cause in the issue of Batman 40 when the Batman died alongside the Joker was the most epic ending that I have ever read. So if Rocksteady can pull this off I will be forever grateful.

If you are a Batman fan this is a must buy. If you are a fan of the previous Batman games made by Rocksteady then get this. If you like open sandbox type games with a great story get this. If you are into games with little red angry birds being thrown by a catapult then this isn’t the game for you.
